The school converted to foundation status on 31st August 2013 as a full member of the East Cleveland Co-operative Learning Trust: consisting of nine full member local primary schools, and nine associate members, including a special school academy, a primary academy, a number of faith primary academies, and a federated primary/secondary campus.

This allows the school to work with other schools in the Trust on school improvement priorities as well as joint procurement of services.

The school has a long history of extended services provision, and community use.

There is a private provider, Guisborough Out of School Club, on site, offering pre-school, wrap around, before, after school and holiday care (inspected by OFSTED separately).

The school also hosts a range of community groups on evenings, as well as an extensive range of extra-curricular activities for children in term time and during school holidays.

The school collaborates to provide extended and community learning opportunities with the local secondary school and the four other primary schools within the town as GEL (Guisborough Extended Learning).
